For parents
The boring bit that matters
Skateboarding is safer with a trained coach, the right kit and a plan for falling. Here is what is in place.
What you can count on
- Skateboard GB coach
- SK8 Safe trained
- Helmets on for every under 18
- Safety form and code of conduct before the first session
- Kit can be lent
DBS checked, first aid trained, public liability insured.
Before the first session
- Fill in the safety form once. It covers the waiver, code of conduct and terms.
- Helmets and boards can be lent if you ask, so there is no need to buy kit first.
- In the first lesson Rebecca teaches how to stand, how to get on and off and how to fall safely.
The coach

- She has completed courses with SK8 Safe and Skateboard GB.
- She teaches skaters of all ages how to wear protective gear and how to fall correctly.
