Rebecca Davies started skating at Rampworx in Liverpool after her dad took her along. She had her very own skateboard by her ninth birthday. Recognised early for her talent, she was invited to perform in a demo alongside Tony Hawk when she was just 11 years old.

She went on to represent the UK on the international stage and became a true pioneer in UK vert skateboarding. She competed directly alongside men at a time when few women were on the ramp and became the first UK female skater to land a 540.

Rebecca started her coaching journey in 2012 at Deeside Leisure Centre. Following a child development apprenticeship, she proposed a dedicated skateboard lesson programme that was fully booked by the end of the year. She has since completed formal training with SK8 Safe and Skateboard GB. Today she judges for Skateboard GB.

Her career has taken her from coaching with Aura in Flintshire and Graystone in Salford to serving in 2021 as the lead coach for a royal family in the UAE.

Being dyslexic, Rebecca credits her neurodiversity for her unique coaching superpower: breaking down every complex trick and skill into simple, step-by-step pieces.

  • All ages. Children and adults are welcome, including skaters in their 50s.

Rebecca has been coaching me and my son for the past year or so. She has made skateboarding accessible to a mid 40s broken old man and gave confidence to a young 12 year old. We absolutely love every session. Deeside, Ellesmere Port, Chester and Warrington, have had some great sessions and we're hooked for life. I urge any adult who is sitting on the fence to just give it a try. And the kids have all formed a group of friends for life.... Its a game changerEl BurgeGoogle, 2026
Sessions with Rebecca are always great fun. As a new skater at the age of 32 I was apprehensive about learning a new hobby but Rebecca was so welcoming! She is supportive and enthusiastic about everyone's goals regardless of level. Rebecca is patient, explains clearly in a way that is easy to understand for new skaters, and is genuinely happy for you when you achieve a new skill. I always look forward to my sessions with her. She has created such a wonderful, inclusive space that feels safe and supportive.Jo HorobinGoogle, 2025
My 8 years old joined Rebecca classes a couple of months ago in Deeside and he love it. Its worth to drive 40 min to watch him growing in confidence, making friends and just loving skateboard. Anakin loves coming to see Rebecca on Thursday, that's his highlight of the week Rebecca got amazing skills and know how to show it to the boys and girls to bring the best of them. She has not only given me the confidence as an adult re-learning skating, she has become a really good friend. She has the ability to break down information into small steps to make the final trick manageable.Jo LangeFacebook, October 2024
Booked a 1-2-1 lesson with Rebecca for my son and his friend. Both new to skateboarding. As parents we didn't know where to start... Rebecca taught them everything that they needed to know to get started. How to stand, how to get on and off, positioning. Most of all Rebecca gave them confidence to enjoy their skateboards and have fun.Samantha NeathFacebook, June 2022
